CAPPADOCIA. Caesaraea-Eusebia. Hadrian, 117-138. 'Semis' (Billon, 18 mm, 2.39 g, 7 h), Rome, for circulation in Cappadocia, circa 125-127. HADRIANVS AVGVSTVS Laureate head of Hadrian to right. Rev. COS III Mount Argaios surmounted by statue of Sol-Helios, radiate, holding globe in his right hand and long scepter in his left. Ganschow X30. RIC 899. RPC III online 3160.6 (this coin). Sydenham, Caesaraea, 290a. Extremely rare. Porous, a flan crack and with a surface crack on the reverse, otherwise, fine.
